Dr Vanessa Serrano
Dr Serrano joined Gumdale Medical Centre in 2013. She graduated from the University of QLD in 2008 and holds a certificate in Primary Care Skin Cancer Surgery. She has specific interest in skin cancer, men’s health and mental health.
In her spare time Dr Serrano likes to spend time on her favourite hobby, Lego!
Dr David Barker
Dr David Barker joined Gumdale Medical Centre as a General Practitioner in December 2017. David graduated from James Cook University in 2009 and for the past 4 years has been working in Longreach in western Qld. He is a qualified GP Obstetrician and GP Anaesthetist with additional qualifications including a Diploma in Child Health from the University of Sydney and a master’s in public health from the University of Queensland.
David enjoys all aspects of General Practice including antenatal and post natal health, children’s health and minor procedures.
Outside of work David spends his time with his wife and 2 young children and enjoys all types of sport especially rugby union.

Dr Brett Davis
Dr Brett Davis has been a GP at Gumdale Medical Centre since 1995. He graduated from the University of QLD in 1991 and thoroughly enjoys working at Gumdale.
Dr Davis enjoys all aspects of General Practice and believes he learns and improves every time he consults a patient and encounters a new disease.
He also has a passion for script-writing and enjoys spending time with his family.
Dr Ali Issapour – GP
Dr Ali Issapour joined Gumdale Medical Centre Brighton as a General Practitioner in 2007. He graduated from Mashad University of Medical Sciences in 1999 and since then has completed additional training in skin medicine.
Dr Issapour has specific interest in children’s health, skin cancer and mental health.
In his spare time he enjoys watching movies, listening to music and boxing.

Dr Parvaiz Khan – GP
Dr Khan joined the Gumdale Medical Centre as a General Practitioner in 2003. He is highly qualified and hold the Fellowship of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioner, Fellowship of The Advanced Rural General Practice and Fellowship of The Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine. He has been awarded with the Diploma in Child Health from University of Sydney, NSW and Diploma in Public Health from University of QLD. He is a medical educator and clinical examiner for Uni of QLD students, and GP Registars since 2003.
Dr Khan is specifically interested in chronic disease management, children’s health, mental health, skin cancer medicine and minor procedures.
In his spare time Dr Khan enjoys playing and watching tennis, cricket and spending time with his family.
Dr Tim McNamara – GP
Dr Tim McNamara joined Gumdale Medical Centre as a General Practitioner in 2012. He graduated from the University of QLD in 2006 and is currently completing a Diploma in Child Health.
Dr McNamara has specific interest in children’s health and travel medicine. He also enjoys spending time on his hobbies, which include reading, movies, travel and spending time with his family.

Dr Allan Miles
Dr Allan Miles has worked as GP for 40 years, and joined Gumdale Medical Centre in 2010. Prior to working at Gumdale Medical Centre, Dr Miles worked at Cannon Hill.
Dr Miles graduated from the University of Queensland in 1969. He enjoys all aspects of General Practice with additional training in Paediatrics, Aged Care and General Family Medicine.
When he isn’t at work Allan has a keen interest in Breeding Race Horses and owns a Broodmare.

Dr Ailsa Laidlaw
Dr Ailsa Laidlaw joined the Gumdale Medical centre in January 2018.
She has more than 20 years’ experience in the General Practice.
Ailsa enjoys all aspects of General Practice and has a special interest in Skin Cancer and Surgery.
Outside of work Ailsa enjoys bike riding and growing Orchids.
Dr Arash Khezer
“Dr. Arash Khezer graduated from Shahid Beheshti Medical school, Tehran in 2003. He then started his career in Australia as a General Practitioner in 2008 at Underwood QLD after 4 years of foreign experience in Family Medicine. He later worked in Redland Bay and at Sunnybank Hills and Beenleigh as a General Practitioner. Dr. Arash was granted his Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2010.
He has a keen interest in Mental Health Problems, Pregnancy and Antenatal Care, Paediatric Medicine, Skin Cancer and Corporate medicine including pre-employment medicals and Corporate health checks and workers injuries. After 15 years of experience in General Practice, he has up-skilled with new innovations in chronic disease management (Diabetes, Asthma, Hypertension, COPD, etc.).
